Why we build in the open

Most product studios stay quiet until launch. We're doing the opposite — sharing working code, real demos, and honest stage-labels, because the problems in payments and risk shift fast, and the best ideas often come from conversations, not silence.

Payments infrastructure

We've built three working pilots targeting the layers around Canada's new CAD stablecoins — corridors, merchant acceptance, and compliance — rather than competing to issue a coin ourselves. Each runs on the same spine: policy-gated actions and a tamper-evident evidence log, so trust and auditability are built in, not bolted on.

CorridorPay

What it is: A CAD→USD payment corridor for Canadian exporters and importers paying US suppliers.

The problem: Bank FX spreads and wire fees quietly cost businesses 2–3% and take days to settle.

The proof point: Up to 90% lower cost, with settlement in seconds instead of days.

AcceptFlow

What it is: One checkout that accepts every major CAD and USD stablecoin — a modern alternative to Moneris-style card processing.

The problem: Supporting multiple stablecoins usually means multiple integrations — unrealistic for most merchants.

The proof point: One integration, meaningfully lower fees than card processing.

AttestKit

What it is: Compliance automation for CAD stablecoin issuers — reserve reporting, attestations, and regulatory readiness.

The problem: Canada's Stablecoin Act requires every issuer to build near-identical compliance plumbing before 2027.

The proof point: Regulatory reporting that used to take a team, generated automatically.

BatchRail In development

What it is: Bulk stablecoin disbursements for payroll, gig-worker payouts, and vendor batches — thousands of payments in one run instead of one at a time.

The problem: Gig and vendor payers rely on slow, expensive batch ACH or manual e-transfers, with no clean way to handle exceptions.

The proof point: Every line item individually policy-checked, with failures routed to a clear exception queue instead of failing the whole batch.

Exploring — concept-stage

Healthcare & insurance payments

Beyond payments and stablecoins, we're exploring the same policy-gated, evidence-logged approach applied to healthcare and insurance payouts — spaces where speed, auditability, and trust matter just as much.

ClaimPay

What it is: A faster, auditable payout engine for insurance claims.

The problem: Claims are often paid by cheque or slow EFT, with manual fraud checks and little transparency into why a payout was approved.

Value: Faster payouts improve policyholder satisfaction; automated fraud checks reduce leakage; a built-in audit trail simplifies regulatory review.

SubroSettle

What it is: A tracking and reconciliation layer for insurance subrogation recoveries.

The problem: Recovering money from a third party after a claim is notoriously manual, with partial recoveries hard to reconcile.

Value: Less manual reconciliation work; faster, more complete recovery of money owed; a clean audit trail for finance and audit teams.

ClaimsFlow

What it is: Payment and remittance automation for healthcare providers.

The problem: Clinics and practices often wait weeks for insurer remittance, with opaque adjustment codes and unclear breakdowns.

Value: Improved provider cash flow; fewer billing disputes thanks to transparent remittance detail; less administrative back-and-forth.

BenefitPay

What it is: Automated payout for employee health benefit claims (HSAs/HCSAs).

The problem: Reimbursement is often slow and manual, with limited audit trail for compliance.

Value: Faster reimbursement improves employee experience; automated eligibility checks reduce errors; audit trail simplifies year-end compliance reporting.

These four are active directions we're exploring, not yet built pilots — unlike CorridorPay, AcceptFlow, and AttestKit, which are working demos today.
